The Story of The Grove...
The Grove grew out of eclectic drummer Noah Lehrman's (Sonic Aardvark, Saag, Tree) experimental musical collaborations while attending Brown University, where he was first introduced to Israeli guitarist Tomer Kiam's songwriting from afar, and Matt Liston's bass playing from down the hall. After cutting their teeth with The Grove in 1999 with performances at such hot New York City venues as Arlene Grocery and the Lion's Den as well as onsite at the millennial Philadelphia Music Conference, Noah and the band were joined by Kiam upon his arrival in New York. Together with Pat Firth's dynamic keys and funky organ, The Grove was a familiar favorite at the world-renowned Wetlands Preserve, jam music's late-great Northeast home, and has more recently have gone on to conquer cutting-edge music's Big Apple base, The Knitting Factory, and serve as the Jam-Band-In-Residence at Le Bar Bat, the fabled NYC studio-turned-venue where the Grateful Dead recorded "Go to Heaven", during the 2002 and 2003 AppleJam Music Festival Series, and closed out the stages at the summer's Soul Flow Festival and OURFest

Grooves of the Grove…
The Grove and its members have had the privlidge of playing with such legendary performers and icons as Jerry Garcia Band, Melvin Seals, Babatundi Olatunji (Drums of Passion) and T.M. Stevens, among many more, and the band shared the stage with such hot contemporary acts as Umphrey's McGee, The Slip, The Zen Tricksters, Schleigho, The Disco Biscuits, Psychedelic Breakfast, Raisinhill, Rana, ulu, Fat Mama, Japan's Big Frog, and many, many more, and been featured on the pages of Relix, Time Out New York, The Village Voice, JamBands.com, and JamBase, jam music's online journal of record, amongst others. On the Internet, The Grove's 9/11 Benefit Concert for the families of fallen World Trade Center rescue workers was a No. 1 Live Concert video on OnlineTV's MusicTV.com, and the band had a Top 30 hit on MP3.com with their live Wetlands version of "Ride My King". And the Fourth Estate aren't the only ones to take note of The Grove's musical prowess: In 2002 Noah was recruited and signed as a Pro Artist Endorser by Silver Fox Percussion and Grover Pro Percussion in recognition of his reputation as a rhythmic powerhouse on the Jam Scene! Noah plays Silver Fox SF-515 drumsticks with Delrin tips.

The Grove Keeps Growing...
The Grove's vibrantly original folk/rock / funk / fusion sound - replete with a hefty beat and a heavy dose of psychedelia - energizes both The Grove's own wry and whimsical songwriting and their unique covers of classics by diverse artists ranging from The Grateful Dead and Phish to Stevie Wonder and Bill Withers. With the buzz building and bouncing through the trees, The Grove's grooves are beginning to reverberate up and down the East Coast jam scene. And the Fourth Estate aren't the only ones to take note of The Grove's musical prowess:
